Hello! My name is Asad and I’m currently a senior studing Software Engineering at The University of North Carolina Charlotte (UNCC).
Not sure if I'll ever be able to call myself a "computer scientist" but I do call myself a problem solver, a deep thinker, and a master of rubber duck debugging.
My coding journey started when I volunteered at a coding bootcamp with half of a biology degree and absolutely zero knowledge of programming. The summer after the bootcamp I changed majors, transferred universities, and began actually loving what I was doing. The education is a means to an end for me and that end is creating accessible, inclusive, and helpful products that make a difference.
Some technologies I'm currently working with include:
Course Title | Technology Focus | Final Grade |
---|---|---|
Data Structures and Algorithms | Java | A |
Operating Systems and Networking | C++ | A |
Software Engineering | Python, Flask | A |
Network-Based Application Design and Development | HTML, CSS, JavaScript | A |
Software Requirements and Project Management | Agile | A |
Database Design and Implementation | MySQL, PHP | A |
I'm looking for internships and entry-level positions right now.
Feel free to ask about my transfering experience, my comp sci journey, or just say hello!
